Dallas – Munsch Hardt, a Texas-based law firm with over 100 attorneys and offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin, announced that four of its Shareholders have been named among the Texas "Super Lawyers" ranks, which was published in the March/April 2009 Corporate Counsel Edition by Key Professional Media, Inc. Steven A. Harr, Stewart Hoffer, David C. Mattka and D. Ronald Reneker were recognized in Business Litigation.

Published since 2008, the Corporate Counsel Edition is a directory of a nationwide attorneys selected by those named to the Super Lawyers list in business-related practice areas. Polling, research and selection are performed by Law & Politics, a publication of Key Professional Media, Inc.


Steven A. Harr

Steve was one of the firm's founding partners, currently serves as General Counsel and has served in virtually every position of responsibility, including Chief Executive Officer for four years, Section Head of the Business Litigation  group for over 15 years and as a member of our Shareholder Compensation and Management Committees. His practice focus is on commercial/business litigation, arbitration, mediation and federal/state receiverships.  Steve received his Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Education, with honors, from Texas Tech University.

Stewart Hoffer

Stewart is a commercial litigator and employment lawyer. He has appeared as counsel for numerous publicly traded and privately held companies in many different industries in courts not only in his home state of Texas, but also in Florida, New Mexico, Nevada, Maine, Michigan, Nebraska and New York.  Stewart received his Juris Doctor, graduating with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law and he received his Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.


David C. Mattka

David's practice covers all aspects of complex business litigation, with a particular emphasis in business tort, contract, director and officer liability, shareholder derivative actions and securities fraud litigation involving investment transactions, including corporate mergers and acquisitions, commercial mortgage backed securitizations, collateralized loan obligations, private equity and hedge funds, venture capital syndications, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint ventures. David also represents corporate boards, directors and officers, audit committees, special litigation committees and other board committees in internal investigations addressing liability, disclosure, remediation and compliance issues in connection with actual or potential litigation claims.  David received his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration also from Southern Methodist University.

D. Ronald Reneker

During his 37 year career, the primary emphasis of Ron's practice has been business litigation on both sides of the docket. He also handles insurance coverage matters on behalf of both carriers and policyholders, and has often represented lawyers and law firms in matters relating to professional liability and law firm withdrawals and dissolutions. Ron has tried numerous jury and non-jury cases, has handled many appeals and has served as counsel in arbitrations. Ron received his Juris Doctor, graduating with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Tulsa.
