"I always say: 'I take good care of my entrepreneurs.’ Which means that they can call me day or night. My father himself was a small independent (milkman) and always did the administration at night. So I know from personal experience that an entrepreneur will have questions outside of office hours and how difficult it is to reach an accountant at that hour. I am approachable and that ensures that clients quickly call me about a problem or event to talk about. This keeps me well informed of the current situation and affairs.”
Marjan notices that her work has greatly changed over the last 20 years. The entrepreneurs nowadays are better at doing things themselves. "I am always critical and honest in my opinion.. I do not tell sweet stories but I tell it like it is. I try to teach the entrepreneur or the accountant of the company as much as possible. I have to admit that I find this very important and also fun to do. My philosophy is that our value is not in the standard work."
