Jennifer's primary practice deals with employment issues arising in commercial transactions.
Jennifer is a Consultant in the Employment, Pensions and Employee Benefits team. She has worked with LK Shields Solicitors since 1996. Jennifer trained with the firm and was formerly a Partner in the firm. She initially worked as a corporate and commercial lawyer and later specialised in employment law.
Her expertise includes conducting in depth due diligence exercises and preparing related reports, advising on employment issues on a restructuring or on the transfer of a business, TUPE, outsourcing issues, redundancies and collective redundancies
Jennifer advises both domestic and international clients in relation to their contractual and non contractual documentation to include contracts of employment, handbooks and policies, arrangements with independent contractors and compromise agreements. She also regularly advises employers on issues arising from the employment relationship such as the rules in relation to working time, leave arrangements, recruitment and equality issues.
