William R. “Bill” Wright concentrates his practice in estate planning and probate law, government relations and corporate law. He practices law in the Sumner County office of the firm.
Before joining the firm, Bill served as the first Law Director for Sumner County, from 1994 until March 2005. In this capacity, he was the legal representative for the Board of Commissioners of Sumner County and all offices and departments of county government, including the Board of Education, the Planning Commission, the Highway Department, the County Industrial Development Board and the Health, Education and Housing Facilities Board.
Prior to working as the Sumner County Law Director, Bill was managing partner of the Hendersonville, Tennessee office for two regional law firms. In private practice, his clients included various businesses as well as individuals, and he also represented the Sumner Regional Health Systems, the City of Hendersonville Industrial Development Board and the Resource Authority in Sumner County.
Bill is a native of Davidson County but has called Hendersonville his home for the past 45 years, watching it grow from a sleepy little town into one of the largest cities in Tennessee.
Family is of the utmost importance to Bill. He has two daughters and is also a proud grandfather of four. Bill and Dianne, his wife of more than 50 years, enjoy travel and have traveled in all 50 states and in more than 60 countries. Bill particularly enjoyed their safari in the Great Serengeti, Tanzania and to Brooks Lodge, Katmai National Park, Alaska.
