An affiliate of Şisecam Group and manufacturer of paper-cardboard packaging products, Camis Ambalaj Sanayi A.Ş. has entered into an agreement with Austrian Dunapack Packaging for the sales and transfer of its corrugated cardboard manufacturing business.
Offering solutions for its sohpisticated customers in the food, beverage, glassware, fresh fruit and vegetable industries, Camiş Ambalaj Sanayi A.Ş. manufactures and sells 160 million m2 of corrugated packaging per annum at its Eskişehir plant using high-tech machinery and equipment.
Camiş Ambalaj Sanayi A.Ş. will continue its offset printed packaging manufacturing business.
Dunapack Packaging is a member of Austria-based Prinzhorn Group, one of the leading companies operating in waste paper recycling, paper and cardboard packaging manufacturing in Europe. With the completion of the sales transactions, Dunapack Packaging will have 18 manufacturing plants worldwide with an annual sales volume of 1,8 billion square maters of corrugated cardboard. According to the said agreement, the cardboard packaging business of Camiş Ambalaj Sanayi A.Ş. will be acquired by Mosburger GmbH, a subsidiary of Prinzhorn Holding which is operating under the name “Dunapack Packaging”.
Acting as legal advisor in implementing of numerous mergers and acquisitions made by domestic and foreign investors recently in Turkey, Erdem&Erdem team has represented Türkiye Şişe ve Cam Fabrikaları A.Ş. and Paşabahçe Cam Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., the shareholders of Camiş Ambalaj Sanayi A.Ş. and succesfully handled the preparation and negotiation of the underlying share purchase agreement and shareholders agreement as part of such mandate.
