PVG announces new partner in its corporate and business structuring practice

We are pleased to announce the arrival of our new partner, Ana Carolina de Salles Freire Gentil, who will be joining the PVG team.

Ana Carolina holds bachelor degrees in Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC – SP) and Economics from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), and has completed the MIT Sloan Fellows MBA Program, in Cambridge, MA, U.S.A., and obtained an LL.M. degree from Georgetown University Law Center, in Washington, D.C., U.S.A. Previously a partner at TozziniFreire and general counsel at AES Brasil, where she has amassed significant experience in the energy sector, Ana Carolina focuses her practice in infrastructure projects, financing, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, corporate law, corporate governance, publicly held corporations and compliance.

“I have joined PVG to contribute to its growth and be part of a law firm whose professionals I admire not only for their outstanding competence but also for their business mindset and personable approach”, states Ana Carolina.  “I am confident that my broad experience in legal transactional practice as well as my expertise in the energy sector, from both law firm and in-house perspectives, will add value to our comprehensive and tailor-made services offerings to our clients”.

Ana Carolina will join partners Marcelo Perlman and Claudio Gomez in leading the Corporate and Business Structuring practice of PVG – in replacement of its prior designation Corporate and Acquisitions -, which newly adopted name is intended to better translate the broad range and complexity of the work developed by our legal team, now strengthened by Ana Carolina’s experience and expertise.

The Corporate and Business Structuring practice of PVG is dedicated to designing legal solutions for the different matters and challenges of the corporate world, with emphasis on the following areas:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Corporate, governance and publicly-held corporations
  • Infrastructure projects, including in energy, mining and other sectors
