"Boodle Hatfield has a Chambers and Legal 500 ranked arts team. We have been working for some time on a matter which is effectively a title dispute over a Painting by a well-known artist. The Painting was consigned to Christie's in Hong Kong and was spotted by our client who has made a claim in relation to it. The painting is held at Christie's due to this title dispute. Whilst the dispute is ongoing in London, certain key aspects of the case, most notably whether the current owner of the picture is a bona fide purchaser, are governed by South Korean law.
