Danijel holds a Master's degree in Corporate Finance from the international SDA Bocconi University in Milan. Prior to that, he completed a professional degree in Business Economics, majoring in Corporate Finance, at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. Danijel has more than 15 years of experience, which includes working in an international environment (Singapore, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) in various areas of finance, such as corporate finance, investment banking, financial consulting, financial restructuring, and family business transition. When working with family businesses, the main focus is on establishing family governance, developing a transition plan, and forming an exit strategy for the founders. He helps family businesses to achieve transition and transfer to other generations and advises on how family businesses can achieve success in their business. Danijel also focuses on M&A consulting through all phases of the merger or acquisition process.
Danijel has had the opportunity to undergo training as a tax specialist, certified accountant, certified forensic accountant, certified internal auditor, auditor (implementation of ISO 9001:2015), certified appraiser, certified investment advisor (HANFA), certified business consultant (CMC), and in advanced financial modeling with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions for private equity funds and investment banking. He has also completed training as a mediator and is a certified manager of sustainable finance. Furthermore, he is a member of professional associations such as the Croatian Association of Controllers, the Association of Certified Accountants, the Croatian Association of Accountants and Financial Professionals, the Croatian Society of Appraisers, and the Croatian Society of Management Consultants.
