Kaitlin Beck focuses her practice on all facets of immigration law.

IMMIGRATION

Kaitlin helps U.S. and foreign-based clients with their immigration needs representing multinational corporations, healthcare facilities, colleges and universities, primary and secondary schools, large and small businesses, and individuals before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Department of State, and U.S. Department of Labor.

She handles temporary nonimmigrant worker visas including H visas for specialty occupations; L visas for executives, managerial, and specialist personnel; E visas for treaty investors; TN visas for qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals; Q visas for individuals participating in international cultural exchange programs; and R visas for religious workers. She handles employment based permanent resident immigrant worker visas (green cards) to include EB-1(A) cases for individuals with extraordinary ability; EB-1(B) cases for outstanding professors and researchers; EB-1(C) cases for multinational managers and executives; EB-2 and EB-3 PERM cases, and EB-4 cases for certain religious workers. Kaitlin provides advice and counsel on I-9 and E-Verify compliance as well as USCIS site visits and compliance. She also assists individuals with marriage-based permanent resident (green card) cases and naturalization.

PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

Kaitlin is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and participates in both the AILA Oregon Chapter and AILA Carolinas Chapter. Kaitlin was an Associate Editor in Chief of the South Carolina Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Kaitlin was a legislative aid for a United States Congressman working within the areas of immigration and healthcare.

PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION

Kaitlin was recognized as “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch” in 2024 and received the “Star of the Quarter” award through the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division in 2019. Kaitlin completed Leadership Columbia, Class of 2021, and was the Co-Chair of The BRIDGE Project Committee within the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division. In law school, Kaitlin received a CALI Award for Legal Research Analysis and Writing II.
