Eric Hartwig represents clients in the areas of business, corporate, and commercial real estate transactions, estate planning and administration, as well as civil litigation related to these areas. Eric advises closely held business clients through all phases of their business lifecycle, including entity selection, formation, succession planning, acquisitions and sales. His estate planning practice involves working closely with individuals, families and business owners to develop comprehensive plans that are tailored to each client’s specific goals.
Prior to joining Black Helterline, Eric spent 17 years working in a boutique Portland law practice, with a focus on the same types of matters. Working in a small office environment, he brings a practical, solution-oriented approach to the legal issues his clients face.
In his spare time, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, exploring all that the area has to offer. When he is not in the office you will often find him on the water somewhere chasing spring or fall salmon.
