Andrew Osborne

Andrew Osborne

Andy harnesses his experience clerking for federal judges and litigating in courts at every level to give clients a strategic edge in complex disputes.
Andy represents clients in complex litigation matters in both federal and state courts at every phase of litigation—from initial strategy and pleadings through trial and appeal.
Before joining Barack Ferrazzano, Andy was an associate in Jenner & Block’s Supreme Court and Appellate Group, where he advised clients and litigated high-stakes matters across many subject areas, including class action defense, multidistrict litigation, administrative law, and privacy law. He also maintained a robust pro bono practice, with a particular focus on constitutional rights, immigration, and capital cases. Andy previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas L. Kirsch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Honorable Manish S. Shah of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
During law school, Andy gained additional appellate experience as a student attorney in the University of Chicago’s Supreme Court and Appellate Clinic, where he argued a case before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and obtained dismissal of the government’s appeal on behalf of the clinic’s client. Before attending law school, Andy worked in communications for U.S. Senator Al Franken of Minnesota.
