Originally from Glasgow, Emily Paris-Hunter qualified as a Scottish Solicitor in 2011 after studying Law at Aberdeen University and also completing her Diploma in Legal Practice. She was admitted as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey in 2023, having moved to Jersey to escape the cold in 2020.
Emily primarily specialises in commercial property work but oversees the Property team’s eclectic mix of all forms of property related matters. She provides advice to a wide range of clients from first time buyers and small businesses, to property developers and investors.
Her areas of work include:
– Commercial and residential acquisitions and disposals – Commercial and residential leases – Property finance – Property development and development site acquisitions – Development agreements and building contracts – Planning advice and planning obligation agreements

Alongside her day to day work, Emily is currently undertaking a Masters Degree in Construction Law and has a particular interest in development and construction related work.
