Timothy D. Charlesworth
Timothy D. Charlesworth is a shareholder at Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba and has been with the Firm since it opened in 1988. He chairs the Firm's Banking & Finance Group and its International Business & Trade Law practice.
Mr. Charlesworth advises U.S. companies doing business overseas and foreign companies establishing operations in the United States, most of them small and mid-sized businesses. He negotiates distribution and agency agreements, international sales contracts, technology licenses and joint ventures, and counsels clients on export and import compliance, including tariffs and U.S. Customs and Border Protection forced labor enforcement. His banking and finance practice covers commercial lending, finance and collections. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of International Trade.
Mr. Charlesworth has taught international business law at DeSales University since 2010 and teaches in the Master of International Business Administration program at ESDES Lyon Business School in France. He is President of the World Trade Club of the Lehigh Valley and serves on the boards of the Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Lehigh Export Network and Global Business Advisors. He speaks and writes regularly on tariffs, exporting and trade compliance.
