Kay Jess, born in 1957, is a German attorney, public auditor, and certified public accountant. He advises business enterprises and business persons on commercial and tax law, and in the area of financial auditing.

Typical matters handled by Mr. Jess include: 

• structuring, drafting, and negotiating contracts in the national and international real estate project sector;
• providing tax advice on the structuring of assets of business persons;
• advising in the area of national and international corporate investment structuring;
• providing advice in the real estate area, beginning with acquisition and right through to project development, utilization, and realization;

• structuring, organizing, and setting up foundations.

Kay Jess studied law at the Universities of Kiel (Germany) and Lausanne (Switzerland). He obtained a doctorate in 1990, the topic of his doctoral thesis stemming from the law of foundations. 

Mr. Jess is admitted in Hamburg as a German attorney, certified public accountant, and public auditor. He began his legal career at an international accounting firm in Hamburg and has been with GGV since 1991. 

In addition to German (native language), he also speaks English and French.
