Gregg Ficks leads the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group. He has a nationwide bankruptcy and restructuring practice focused on representing landlords, real estate developers, technology companies, manufacturers, aircraft lessors, lenders, suppliers, and various other secured and unsecured creditors, both inside and outside of bankruptcy court. Gregg represents parties seeking to buy commercial real estate and other assets of troubled companies in bankruptcy court. He also advises credit card processors on debtor-creditor and creditor lien matters. No matter what the case, Gregg works to offer practical business solutions to his clients, and stands ready to litigate when appropriate.
Gregg also devotes a significant portion of his practice to commercial litigation, landlord-tenant litigation, and ADA matters outside of the bankruptcy arena. Gregg’s litigation practice focuses on representing commercial landlords in lease and guaranty enforcement, unlawful detainer, and other landlord-tenant and real property disputes; defending businesses, commercial real property owners, and hotels in Americans with Disabilities Act litigation, including web accessibility litigation; defending businesses in fraudulent transfer, preference, and other debtor-creditor litigation; and contract and lease litigation for hotels/hotel management companies. Gregg has prosecuted and defended several commercial and fraud trials through successful verdict.
