Fillmore Riley congratulates Bernice Bowley for her induction as a Fellow to the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL). Founded in 1950, ACTL is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada.
Bernice is a senior litigator and partner who leads Fillmore Riley’s litigation team. She maintains a comprehensive commercial insurance litigation practice, including general insurance defence, professional errors and omissions, product liability, construction, subrogation and coverage.
The ACTL is an invitation-only fellowship of exceptional trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds from the United States and Canada. The College conducts a thorough investigation of each nominee for admission and selects only those who have demonstrated the highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism and collegiality.
Bernice was one of two Manitobans inducted in 2020. There are currently only 14 ACTL Fellows practising law in Manitoba.
