Osborn Maledon Ranked in "Best Law Firms" 2021 by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers®

The Phoenix law firm of Osborn Maledon (OM) has earned 24 Metropolitan Tier 1 rankings in the 2021 “Best Law Firms” 11th annual edition, sponsored by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers®.  Awards recognize achievement in firm practice areas.

In total rankings (including second and third tiers), OM ranked nationally in nine practice areas and regionally in 29 practice areas.  “Best Law Firms” rankings, presented in three tiers for national and regional areas, reflect the highest level of respect a firm can earn among other leading lawyers and clients from the same communities and practice areas.  Law firms are ranked for their abilities, professionalism and integrity.

In August, Best Lawyers also honored six OM attorneys as “Phoenix Lawyers of the Year” in their practice areas, an honor only a single lawyer in a practice area in each community receives. They are Lynne Adams, education law; Brett Dunkelman, antitrust litigation; David Rosenbaum, securities litigation; Christopher Stachowiak, securities/capital markets law; Warren Stapleton, bankruptcy litigation; and Geoffrey Sturr, ethics and professional responsibility law.

At the same time, Best Lawyers selected 28 of the firm's 49 attorneys for national recognition as “Best Lawyers” and named six attorneys “Ones to Watch,” a category for attorneys with less than 10 years’ experience.

The 24 practices recognized with first-tier rankings among firms in the Phoenix area are:  appellate; arbitration; bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganization; bet-the-company litigation; commercial litigation; corporate law; criminal defense: white-collar; employment law - management; entertainment law (motion pictures & television); ethics and professional responsibility law; gaming law; legal malpractice law (defendants); litigation (antitrust); litigation (construction); litigation (intellectual property); litigation (labor & employment); litigation (mergers & acquisitions); litigation (patent); litigation (securities); mergers & acquisitions; real estate; securities/capital markets law; securities regulation; and sports law.
