We are pleased to welcome our new partner Liza Uma. Liza Uma is a seasoned lawyer who practises a broad range of corporate and commercial matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, capital markets, privatisation, public and private fundraising and investments both within and outside of Malaysia. Whilst most of her career has been in private practice, Liza comes with in-house industry knowledge having been with a public listed property developer before returning to practice as a partner in 2017. Her notable deals include the IPO of a real estate developer which core business involves property development outside Malaysia in the United Kingdom and Australia, the restructuring of a Southeast Asian e-commerce aggregator platform and the privatisation of a plantation REIT.

We are confident that Liza’s addition to the firm will strengthen our corporate and M&A capabilities.
