Piper Alderman is delighted to announce 17 midyear promotions across the firm with effect from 1 July 2025, including 5 special counsel, 5 senior associates, 5 associates, and 2 in business services.
The firm’s newly promoted special counsel include Brisbane-based Lauren Abbott (Real Estate), Melbourne-based Rob Norton (Dispute Resolution & Litigation), Adelaide-based Travis Shueard (Intellectual Property), and from the Sydney office within the Dispute Resolution & Litigation team, Roselina Kruize and Oendri Neogi.

Lauren Abbott
Lauren joined Piper Alderman in 2018 as a Lawyer in the Real Estate team, and was promoted to Associate in 2019, then Senior Associate in 2021. She practises across a broad range of national property-related matters, with particular expertise in major capital transactions including acquisitions, developments, and divestments involving commercial, industrial, retail and social infrastructure assets; and management of large scale leasing. Renowned for her proactive communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, Lauren is a trusted advisor who consistently delivers high-quality, commercially astute results.
Rob Norton
Rob joined Piper Alderman in 2020 as a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution & Litigation team, bringing with him a comprehensive background in dispute resolution that involves banking and finance, commercial leasing, supply and distribution contracts, shareholder oppression, royal commissions, the COVID-19 Hotel Quarantine Inquiry, insolvency Will dispute and Part IV claims and the Australian Consumer Law – with a focus on misleading and deceptive & unconscionable conduct.
Rob is known for his commitment to client communication and support, clear, persuasive writing and tenacious advocacy.
Travis Shueard
Travis joined Piper Alderman in 2021 as an Associate and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2022. He is an experienced intellectual property litigator, advising on disputes relating to trade marks, registered designs, copyright and patents, as well as trade mark prosecution, oppositions, and consumer law. Travis has acted in leading intellectual property cases and is recognised for his strategic approach to complex disputes. In addition, he is an emerging leader in the defence sector, advising a range of defence companies and currently serving as Deputy Chair of the Defence Teaming Centre, a prominent national defence industry body.
Roselina Kruize
Roselina joined Piper Alderman in 2022 as a Senior Associate, practising in complex commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and insolvency. Having moved to the Sydney office in 2024, she now focuses on class action disputes and large scale insolvency matters. She has represented clients in all West Australian and Federal Courts, the WA State Administrative Tribunal and the Supreme Court of NSW, as well as acted for clients in all Australian jurisdictions, which in some instances extended to cross-border work overseas In addition, Roselina is actively involved with ARITA, a well recognised insolvency and restructuring association in Australia. Roselina’s expertise enables her to deliver practical and optimal commercial outcomes, alongside clear litigious advice.
Oendri Neogi
Oendri joined Piper Alderman in January 2024 as a Senior Associate, bringing over a decade of experience in complex cross-border commercial litigation and arbitration, having practiced in both Australia and India. Over the past year, she has become a valued member of the Dispute Resolution & Litigation team, representing clients on high-value commercial and contractual disputes across the private equity, finance, energy, infrastructure, transport, and logistics sectors. She also acts in regulatory inquiries and investigations in the emerging enforcement priorities regarding sustainable claims.
