Casner & Edwards Attorneys Present at MCLE’s 27th Annual Nonprofit Law Conference 2026; Drew S. Douglas-Steele Co-Chairs

Casner & Edwards attorney Drew S. Douglas-Steele co-chaired the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) 27th Annual Nonprofit Law Conference 2026 on March 4. She and fellow Casner attorney Anita S. Lichtblau presented the session, “Considerations for Religious Nonprofit Organizations.” Additional conference topics included:

Douglas-Steele provides a wide array of legal services to nonprofit entities, including assistance with formation, dissolution, day-to-day operations, modification of charitable restrictions, charitable registration and fundraising questions, governance, and tax-exempt status. She also advises clients on a range of for-profit corporate matters such as formation, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and negotiation, licensure requirements, and corporate governance.

Lichtblau provides comprehensive legal advice to nonprofits and tax exempt organizations and businesses and individuals involved in nonprofit matters. She advises nonprofit organizations on a wide variety of legal issues, including formation of organizations and application for tax-exempt status, maintenance of tax-exempt status, governance, lobbying and political activity. She specializes in the creation of corporate policies, employment matters and government and private grants and contracts. Lichtblau is a former Executive Director of CAPLAW.
