Kuits Expands Asset Recovery Team in Response to Growing Market Demand

Manchester commercial law firm, Kuits Solicitors, has expanded its Asset Recovery team, bringing together lawyers from across its restructuring and insolvency, real estate finance, property and litigation practices to meet increasing demand from lenders, creditors, insolvency practitioners and businesses.

The strengthened team reflects the growing complexity of recovery work in the current market. According to the latest Company Insolvency Statistics from the Insolvency Service, there were 1,845 registered company insolvencies in England and Wales in June 2026, comprising 1,364 creditors’ voluntary liquidations, 276 compulsory liquidations, 191 administrations and 14 company voluntary arrangements. While overall insolvencies were 10% lower than in June 2025, administrations were 45% higher than in May 2026, underlining the continuing need for early, coordinated advice in matters involving asset value, security enforcement and recovery strategy.

Kuits’ expanded Asset Recovery offering draws on expertise from multiple practice areas, enabling the firm to provide clients with a seamless service across secured and unsecured recoveries, enforcement, possession proceedings, investigations and asset tracing, insolvency proceedings, LPA receiver appointments, property recovery and commercial disputes.

The team advises lenders, insolvency practitioners, receivers, creditors, property professionals and businesses throughout the recovery process, from initial strategy and early-stage negotiations through to enforcement, asset realisation and, where required, insolvency-related action.

Nichola Evans, Head of Dispute Resolution at Kuits, said: “We are seeing increasing demand from clients who need decisive, practical and joined-up advice when dealing with asset recovery issues. These matters often require input from several specialist areas, particularly where there are property assets, security arrangements, insolvency considerations or litigation risk involved.

“By expanding the team and formally bringing together lawyers from across the firm, we are able to respond quickly and provide clients with clear, commercially focused advice from the outset. Our aim is to help clients protect their position, reduce delay and achieve the best possible recovery outcome.”

Kuits’ Asset Recovery team also works alongside a trusted network of professional advisers, including insolvency practitioners, accountants and investigators, allowing the firm to build tailored strategies for complex domestic and cross-border recovery matters.

As a member of TAG Alliances, Kuits can also connect clients with legal, accounting and strategic business advisers internationally where matters involve overseas assets, parties or enforcement considerations.

The expansion forms part of Kuits’ wider commitment to providing collaborative, commercially focused advice to businesses, lenders and professional advisers across the North West and beyond.
