Kuits Strengthens its Corporate and Commercial Team with Another Senior Hire

Manchester law firm Kuits has added another senior hire to its growing Corporate and Commercial team – the third new team member in the last 12 months.

Peter Allen, a former DWF Partner, joined Kuits this summer, following the addition of Partner Martin Lewis, who joined from Addleshaws, and Associate Helen Mather, who joined from DWF, at earlier points in the year.

The team now boasts five highly-experienced Partners, enabling them to provide an even greater level of commercial advice and support for their core client base of SMEs, and owner-managed and family-owned businesses.

Standout work undertaken this year by the team has included advising Accurist Watches, acting for SmartKem Limited on a significant funding round from an investment syndicate and advising Peakdale Molecular on its £12m MBO backed by Equistone Partners.

Head of Corporate and Commercial Rob Buckley said: “Over the last 12 months, we have grown our Corporate and Commercial team at all levels, both in terms of adding different skill sets and numbers of personnel, reflecting the growth in work that we are seeing.

“This growth is a result of the approach we take with our clients. All members of our team take the time to get to know and understand our clients’ business objectives and pressures. We then work closely with them and our colleagues in the commercial property, tax, employment and intellectual property teams to provide clients with a holistic service, combining a comprehensive range of expertise and support.

“Our growth is continuing, and as such we plan to further expand the team over the next 12 months.”
