David Kroft Appointed a Judge of The Court of Queen’s Bench in Manitoba

Fillmore Riley LLP and TAGLaw congratulate David Kroft on his appointment as a judge of Her Majesty’s Court of Queen’s Bench in Winnipeg. The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, announced the appointment on October 20, 2016.

 

“David has made a huge contribution to Fillmore Riley and we will miss him dearly, but our loss is the court’s and the public’s gain,” said Managing Partner Glen Peters. “We congratulate him on his well-deserved recognition.” 

David began his career at Fillmore Riley as a summer student. Over the last 28 years, he built a strong practice with an emphasis on commercial litigation, bankruptcy, insolvency, banking litigation, and restructuring.

He has earned many accolades for his work. He is recognized by Lexpert as a leading practitioner in insolvency litigation and corporate commercial litigation and he is listed in Best Lawyers in Canada in the areas of insolvency and financial restructuring and corporate and commercial litigation. He is also recognized as a Local Litigation Star in Manitoba in the areas of general commercial and insolvency by Benchmark Litigation.
