Weaver Strengthens Forensics and Litigation Services Practice with Director, Doug Brustkern

Weaver is pleased to announce that Doug Brustkern, CFE, MBA, has returned to the firm as a director in its Forensics and Litigation Services (FLS) practice. Based in Dallas, Doug brings experience in commercial disputes involving economic damages and has served clients across industries including private equity, health care, consumer products and energy, with a particular emphasis on real estate and construction.

Doug has an extensive background supporting matters involving business interruptions, lost profits, cost overruns, contractual disputes and partnership disputes related to asset development, management and disposition. He originally joined Weaver in 2020, where he advanced from manager to director, leading project teams on complex engagements involving forensic accounting, financial analysis and valuation services. His work included structuring analyses to quantify economic damages and support strategic decisions for attorneys and clients, while also contributing to business development and client relationship growth.

Prior to rejoining Weaver, Doug collaborated closely with executive leadership teams on operational and financial transformation initiatives at a global consulting firm’s corporate performance improvement practice. He focused on identifying opportunities to reduce costs, eliminate inefficiencies and enhance performance to drive measurable financial value.

Doug’s return to Weaver reflects his continued commitment to delivering high-quality client service, strengthened by his broader consulting perspective. His combined background in litigation, forensic accounting and performance improvement enhances the firm’s ability to help clients navigate complex financial disputes and achieve successful outcomes.

“Doug’s strong combination of litigation experience and operational insight enhances our ability to serve clients through complex disputes,” said Sonia Desai, partner-in-charge, financial advisory and forensics and litigation services, at Weaver. “His ability to analyze financial issues, quantify damages and deliver clear, actionable strategies will be a valuable asset to both our team and our clients.”
