On Monday 12 May, ESV (New South Wales, Australia) held an exclusive event to provide clients with an overview of important recent updates in financial reporting.
Carmen Ridley of G.A.A.P. Consulting was invited as keynote speaker to share her wisdom and insight in the field of financial reporting and auditing. Carmen is a current Board Member of the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB), making her a highly informative and interesting speaker to take notes from.
Carmen covered a range of topics, including AASB Standards regarding consolidated financial statements, joint arrangements, disclosure of interests in other entities, and fair value measurement.
Carmen's presentation also focussed on financial reporting for non-for-profit entities. Insights into charity reporting and the requirements of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) were of particular interest to many of ESV's clients. With over 15 years' experience in financial reporting and auditing, all attendees found it a real pleasure to learn from Carmen's experience and expertise within this field.
