Governor Abbott Waives Certain Regulations To Allow Delivery Of Alcohol From Restaurants & To Support Hospitality Industry

On Wednesday, March 18, Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued the below waiver allowing restaurants to deliver alcoholic beverages accompanied by food purchases to patrons, including beer, wine and mixed drinks. The ability to deliver such beverages is based on a restaurant's pre-existing permit(s). The Governor also directed the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) to waive certain provisions to allow manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers of alcoholic beverages to repurchase or sell back unopened product.
