Interim Report RGPC

The General Corruption Prevention Regime (DL 109-E/2021) sets forth that all companies with headquarters in Portugal and branches in national territory of legal persons with headquarters abroad that employ 50 or more workers to establish corruption prevention measures must issue an interim assessment report in October of each year regarding the situations identified as high or maximum corruption risk that have been detected within their organisation.

This is an assessment obligation that also involves publicising the report to their employees via the intranet and on their official website, if they have one, within 10 days of its implementation.

The non-issuance of the interim report and related publication to the employees of the organization is subject to penalties, ranging from €1,000.00 (one thousand euros) to €25,000.00 (twenty five thousand euros) for legal persons or similar entities. These amounts are halved if the offences were committed through negligence.
