The White House has confirmed that international travelers fully vaccinated against COVID who have been barred from entering the United States during the pandemic will be able to enter the country starting on November 8, 2021. This includes travelers from the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Schengen area in Europe, Brazil, South Africa, China, India, and Canada. This new policy will apply to both land and air travel. Foreign national travelers to the U.S. will need to show both proof of vaccination as well as a negative COVID-19 test before boarding their flight. Travelers crossing a land border into the U.S. will not need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test. FDA-approved vaccines, which includes Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson, as well as vaccines approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization (WHO), including AstraZeneca, Serun Institute of India, Sinopharm (Beijing), and Sinovac, will qualify.
