On July 11, 2023, Law No. 32/2023, of July 10, entered into force, by which the obligation to display the motor vehicle insurance label is ended.

The new rules state that supporting documents for motor insurance can be issued and made available by electronic means. However, in cases where the policyholder or insured person requests that the documents be made available on paper and in cases where the policyholder or insured person does not have, demonstrably, adequate electronic means for the secure transmission and receipt of the documents, they should be made available in hard copy at no extra cost.
