Further to the previous EAbrief on public consultation no. 5/2023 of 12 April 2023, the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority (ASF) approved, on 11 July 2023, ASF Regulatory Standards no. 4/2023-R and 5/2023 R, on the provision of information for supervisory purposes to ASF by insurance and reinsurance undertakings and pension fund management companies, respectively.
ASF Regulatory Standard no. 4/2023-R regulates the provision of information by insurance and reinsurance companies established in Portugal to the ASF. Moreover, it establishes the availability of templates, instructions, maps and reporting forms in a dedicated place on the ASF website and introduces new reporting duties in several matters, repealing ASF Regulatory Standard No. 8/2016-R, of August 16, and paragraph 21 of Circular No. 5/2022, of May 24.
ASF Regulatory Standard no. 5/2023-R defines the set of reports and elements of a financial, statistical, and behavioural nature that pension fund management companies must submit to ASF for the purpose of exercising supervisory powers, repealing ASF Regulatory Standard No 11/2020-R, of November 3, and paragraph 19 of Circular No 6/2022, of May 24.
The rules have been in force since July 19, 2023
