Appeal of jumping pillow decision falls flat

The ACT Court of Appeal has upheld the trial judge’s decision in the matter of Ackland v Stewart, which was discussed in the April 2014 newsletter ‘Two courts jump in to consider obvious risk’ following a challenge by the defendant of the large award of damages made in favour of the plaintiff last year.
