Hannah Withers provides employment law counseling and litigation defense to employers. She brings a combination of big law and in-house counsel experience to a wide range of employment-related matters. She partners closely with in-house legal counsel as well as Human Resources Departments and business leaders to navigate complex matters relating to employees.
Prior to joining Coblentz, Hannah was in-house Employment Counsel for Yelp, where she provided legal support for Human Resources and employment law matters. She also brings litigation defense experience from her time at Latham & Watkins and Ogletree Deakins. Hannah assists employers facing wrongful termination claims, discrimination claims, retaliation claims, harassment claims, wage and hour violations, whistleblower allegations, and breach of contract or tort claims related to employment. She has experience defending administrative claims and has worked before many state, local and federal agencies, including the EEOC, DFEH, and DLSE.
Hannah works directly with clients to provide practical and compliant employment advice relating to employment handbooks, office policies, time off requirements, leaves of absence, internal investigations, performance management, termination decisions, hiring practices, and separation agreements.
